The Coldwater Islamic Center was established in 1980. Since that time, it has been expanded three times. The Masjid started in a small house. Later on, the 2nd floor became part of the Masjid, and in 2007, we purchased a building that used to be a church next to our Masjid. The Masjid serves the Muslim community in Coldwater and neighboring cities. The Muslim population keeps increasing to around 2000 residents.

The mosque hosts workshops to memorize the Holy Quran at the "Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Holy Quran Memorization School" with more than 60 students. There is a separate section for female students for the memorization of the Holy Quran with almost 60 students also.

Additionally, the Al-Faruq School operates on Saturdays and Sundays to teach the Arabic language, the Holy Quran, and Islamic Education. The number of students is about 230 who are taught by six male teachers and seven female teachers. Due to high classroom occupancy, three additional classrooms were needed.

English classes are now available for mothers who are not enrolled in other schools so they can communicate effectively, especially with the younger generation of children and girls.
